At the December Working Group Meeting, Dr. Fifa Rahman (Matahari Global Solutions) and the People’s Vaccine Alliance gave a presentation about their new report, COVID-19 and Gender: Best Practices, Challenges, and Lessons for Future Pandemics. On behalf of Women in Global Health, Mahmood Al-Hamody also overviewed the organization’s new publication, Gender-Responsive Pandemic Preparedness, Prevention, Response and Recovery. The Gender in Pandemic Preparedness and Response Working Group is hosted by the Pandemic Action Network and Women in Global Health. This working group provides a platform for members to share insights on gender equity within the ongoing pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response processes.
