A diverse group of civil society organizations engaged in negotiations for an international agreement on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response has established an independent, technical Civil Society Helpdesk. This initiative aims to support WHO Member States and its Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) in their critical deliberations to finalize an agreement that prioritizes its stated objectives, particularly equity.
Through this platform, country negotiators can confidentially request civil society insights and recommendations on issues discussed during INB12. Questions can be submitted via this anonymized form.
The following civil society organizations are part of the Helpdesk and will contribute in answering Member State questions:
- AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Institute
- AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition (AVAC)
- Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi)
- FOUR PAWS
- Malaria Youth Corps/ DRC
- Pandemic Action Network (PAN)
- Tanzania Community Health Information and Support (TaCHIS)
- The Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS and Health Service Organizations (EANNASO)
- The Global Healthcare Innovation Alliance Accelerator (GHIAA)
Disclaimer: Positions in the Helpdesk may not necessarily reflect PAN’s positions but those of those who write or contribute to each answer. Also, answers cannot be attributed to the whole group but only to those who participated in their elaboration. In case of dissenting opinions among the organizations involved in drafting an answer, such will be indicated.
