#WorldMaskWeek was a successful global movement to inspire more people to wear face coverings to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Wearing a mask—together with handwashing and social distancing—is one of the best tools we have to protect ourselves and those around us from COVID-19. During #WorldMaskWeek, we asked people to share how they #WearAMask by posting a picture or video their social media channels. In 117 countries around the world via media coverage and social media, from business leaders to government leaders, and from celebrities to people living their daily lives– there was an outpouring of support for wearing masks in public to help put an end to this pandemic.
